Sunday Post

It's been an interesting week. Right after talking to a professional editor for the first time and starting this website, I got sick as a dog for the rest of the week. Then I decided to give my wife the same illness so she could enjoy it too. I'm an excellent husband.

I think for now, I'm going to make posts every Sunday. At this point, I'm mostly writing for myself but that's okay! Everyone has to start somewhere and this is a good way to record my thoughts and make sure I don't neglect the website. One of the things I talked about with the editor was how to build an audience naturally without spamming random social media apps like an asshole. I'm not very good at that sort of thing so her advice helped a lot. I'm active on a few Discord servers and plan to ask for some feedback from a few people I interact with there. I'm delaying going on X until I have something more substantial to talk about.

Another thing I'm going to do is produce more short stories while I'm working on my manuscript. Some just for here and others to submit to anthology publishers. There are a few open submission opportunities in the next few weeks for Raconteur Press so I'm working on something for that. It would be nice to have a few stories out before I publish a full length novel so potential readers have an idea of what they can expect from me.
